Description

BRE Academy created the BREEAM International New Construction Assessor online training course, enabling professionals in the construction industry anywhere in the world to become qualified as a BREEAM Assessor. For the first time, this means there is no need to travel to sit an exam or wait for a classroom training course to take place in your country or region.

BREEAM is the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for master planning projects, infrastructure and buildings. It recognises and reflects the value in higher performing assets across the built environment lifecycle, from new construction to in-use and refurbishment. BREEAM does this through third-party certification of the assessment of an asset’s environmental, social and economic sustainability performance, using standards developed by BRE Global.

The role of Assessors is vital to the BREEAM certification process. Qualified and licensed BREEAM Assessors work with project teams to conduct the assessment of a building prior to checking by the certification body, BRE Global. This process puts Assessors at the forefront in driving industry change towards a more sustainable built environment.
During this one-hour CPD webinar you will hear about:

  • The value of BREEAM worldwide – including benefits to key stakeholders such as property owners, developers and project teams
  • How BREEAM adapts to local conditions – including an overview of our standards and weightings approval process
  • Exciting case studies – including video footage of the ‘most sustainable office building in the world’
  • What is involved in becoming an Assessor – including finding out more about the new online training course.

There will also be the opportunity to ask our expert speaker any questions you might have about BREEAM and the Assessor training process.
