The BREEAM RFO scheme provides a flexible approach for assessors in the refurbishment and fit-out market due to its modular structure. Projects are assessed against the issues that they can reasonably influence within their scope of works, whilst maintaining a robust scheme that allows comparability and transparency of performance across the property market.
The scheme works directly alongside BREEAM New Construction 2014, allowing the first fit-out of shell/shell and core projects to gain ‘Fully fitted’ certification under the New Construction 2014 scheme. It is also compatible with BREEAM in Use.
Our goal is to deliver high calibre, informative and engaging content that will develop delegates into knowledgeable and capable BREEAM professionals. Delegates will be experience blended learning, which will be delivered both online and onsite at BRE. The three day course will conclude with two 90 minute examinations for full certification.
Successful completion of this process will result in becoming fully qualified BREEAM Non-domestic Refurbishment assessors.
On successful completion of the course and the examinations you will be issued with notification that verifies your BREEAM Assessor qualification. You will then be required to apply to BRE Global Ltd to become a Licenced BREEAM Assessor under the Scheme in order to practice. You must make this application within 12 months of completing the course.
To practice as a licenced BREEAM Assessor you will be required to pay an annual licence fee and hold adequate levels of professional insurance, particularly professional indemnity insurance. Further information on the route to becoming a licenced BREEAM Assessor can be found at www.breeam.com
