UNISDR’s International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR) celebrates how people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of reining in the risks that they face. Representatives from QSAND (Quantifying Sustainability in the Aftermath of Natural Disasters) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) discuss shelter solutions, a demonstration shelter available to view at BRE’s innovation park and project tools which support sustainability and resilience.
