Domestic construction continues to evolve following a myriad of changes in building regulations and styles over the decades, which has resulted in the use of different materials and construction techniques, therefore correctly estimating the age of a dwelling can prove to be a challenge.

Surveyors, Energy Assessors, Estate Agents and other property professionals who need to correctly estimate the age of dwelling will find this course beneficial.  Descriptions and photographs will show:

  • Common design styles and typical construction methods and materials
  • Materials and construction techniques typical for certain periods
  • Provide helpful clues on where to look at dwellings to gather this information, including window styles, roof pitch levels, façade, ornamentation and room layouts.

How is the course delivered?

The course is delivered on-line for learning at your computer and has an award of 3 hours CPD.  The course concludes with a multiple choice assessment.
