This is a stand-alone training module which forms part of the BRE Property Flood Surveyor Training Course.

In this module, we will be looking at the different requirements around legislation, and key policy that is relevant for flooding in the UK. This will also review the assessment process for Flood Risk Assessment.

Matt has been very heavily involved with several workstreams within Defra’s Property Flood Resilience Roundtable and leads Task Group 3 of this group. This included the development and management of an independent guidance portal for home and business owners within the UK – www.floodguidance.co.uk. He has also worked on the development of a national property flood resilience database (PFR-d), which can record flood resilience measures that have been installed on homes within the UK.
