BREEAM In-Use is an online, international, environmental assessment methodology for independent, third-party assessment and certification of a building’s operational performance.
The methodology allows for a separate assessment of asset performance, building management and occupier management, assisting investors, owners and managers in driving efficient and effective building management and operation practices.
Performance is reviewed against key categories relating to environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibilities. Certification provides independent verification that the BREEAM In-Use standard has been met. Ratings range from one star, representing an ‘Acceptable’ level of performance, through to six stars which represent ‘Outstanding’ performance.
BREEAM schemes must be updated on a regular basis to ensure that the scheme content successfully demonstrates best practice within the industry.
The BREEAM In-Use team is looking to update both technical content, as well as operational procedures, to ensure that the scheme is pushing boundaries. These aspects being developed will be explained within this webinar.
This webinar will look to:
- Provide an awareness to BREEAM In-Use (BIU) and how this can benefit the industry
- Understand the reporting capabilities of the scheme
- Discuss the following areas of the update and how they will impact the user:
- Updating key technical areas
- Improved data collection – enabling intelligent benchmarking
- Introducing efficiencies for users and Assessors
- Improving the BREEAM In-Use online platform
