This examination is designed to assess candidates’ general understanding of the BREEAM International New Construction scheme assessment process. In particular, it tests understanding of the process of BREEAM through their knowledge of the BREEAM International New Construction Technical Manual, associated Guidance Notes and the BREEAM Operations Manual.

Candidates are required to answer a series of multiple-choice questions included in the following pages.

Each question is worth 1 mark.
There is only ONE correct answer for each question.
There is a total of 25 marks available.
In completing the exam, candidates can refer to the following documents:

The BREEAM International New Construction Technical Manual (SD250)
Associated Guidance Notes (GN23, GN10)
The BREEAM Operations Manual (SD5070)
Any other course material or notes you feel would assist

The duration of the exam is 120 minutes and the pass mark is 60%

Candidates are reminded that the successful completion of this examination is one part of the requirement for becoming a qualified Assessor and undertaking real assessments; therefore the exam questions are not necessarily straightforward. You are advised to read the questions very carefully before answering.
